Looking back at my time hiring non-STEM people for my design team at a tech company, I would hire someone like you! People who are bad at math usually excel at communication or understanding human or art. They were part of the diversity make-up of my team. A diverse design team with a strong advocate/leader is needed in every tech company so they don’t produce inhumane or useless technology.

I graduated from computer science and enjoyed the first 4 years of my career but switched to design (intersection of art, human, and tech). I suck at languages but that’s my awareness so I keep playing to my strength in order to make a contribution. May you keep inspiring tech industry with your expertise!

If you have time, please take a look into what I wrote to respond to Emily J. Smith’s article. It includes a link to my older articles about making sense of why advanced industrialized countries like USA have fewer women in STEM than “less industrialized” countries.
