As a designer of both the embodied and the visual-only interactions, I totally laugh at the AR coffee mug and the table of NPS buttons. Classic! However the MVP misunderstanding, the unicycle (simplicity reducing usability), and the stringless guitar (aesthetics over utility) show the work of a fake product designer. They give a bad name to the qualified screen product designers and mislead readers about product design. I can still laugh at them, though. Because it’s so true there are many designers who claim themselves as product designers while what they do is visual design or animation/motion design (which I don’t know why the claim — visual and motion designers are awesome contributors of any digital product teams). Product design is about the interaction between human and product, not about decorating.
